The Western Cape Blood Service is a non-profit, independent organisation operating throughout the Western Cape. We work without prejudice to supply safe blood and blood products to all communities in the region, from Cape Town all the way up to George. It’s our goal to be the benchmark transfusion service in South Africa – and we’re getting there, with the help of our dedicated donors.
The Finance Department at Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers to support financial operations and contribute to business success. WCBS is a non-profit organization whose mission is to collect, process, and distribute blood and blood products of the highest standards throughout the Western Cape.
Purpose of the Job
- Responsible for reconciliation of COD Creditors Accounts, cashbook and journal entries to General Ledger.
A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:
- Experience in processing cashbook and reconciliations
- Exposure in payment and maintenance of COD Accounts
- Have a friendly disposition and show keen interest in the work.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- Bookkeeping/Accounting Certificate
- Computer literate, advanced excel skills
- A minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting environment.
