The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality (also known as the City of Tshwane) is the metropolitan municipality that forms the local government of northern Gauteng Province, South Africa. The Metropolitan area is centred on the city of Pretoria with surrounding towns and localities included into the local government area
Job Purpose
- To transport personnel, material and equipment to the operational site in order to execute projects assigned to them (this post only executes tasks on the non-energised electrical distribution network)
Application Requirements:
- Grade 10
- At least six months’ relevant experience
- A valid Code EC driving licence with a valid PrDP
- Physical fitness and health
- Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary Functions :
- Execute instructions received from the supervisor for maintaining all related tasks and duties regarding the electrical distribution network to ensure safe and reliable service delivery
- Execute instructions received from the supervisor for all related tasks and duties regarding projects for the electrical distribution network to ensure that set target dates are reached
- Maintain all tools and equipment to ensure continuous and safe operations on-site
- Execute tasks or duties on a rotation basis between various operational teams to enhance multiskilling
- Ensure the optimal use of resources for cost-effectiveness and efficiency
