MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
- To assess and coordinate emergency vehicles or calls to ensure a timeous response to incidents logged on Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). To assist in receiving , prioritise and log emergency and non-emergency telephone calls and to determine the appropriate level of EMS assistance
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Dispatch vehicles according to the CAD system
- Assist in receiving, prioritise, logging, and processing all calls and alerts received
- Provide basic contact centre administration
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12
- DESIRED EDUCATION: BAA/ Level 3 first aid Certification
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- ESSENTIAL MININUM EXPERIENCE: Contact Centre / Emergency Contact Centre exposure
- DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 – 3 years dispatching in an EMS contact centre
