Job Description:
- We seek a detail-oriented CRM Data Specialist to maintain and update customer data in our CRM platform. The CRM Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring customer data’s integrity, accuracy, and compliance within the CRM system. This role supports marketing and client services by maintaining high-quality data standards, enabling effective customer engagement, and ensuring adherence to data governance policies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and update customer account records in CRM, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all data points
- Identify and resolve duplicate, outdated, or incorrect records.
- Proactively identify and escalate issues or missing information that may prevent seamless workflow
- Collaborate with business teams to clarify and validate data change requests, ensuring smooth and efficient process execution
- Review and process new account creation requests, ensuring they meet company standards and data quality guidelines
- Execute account amendments, including changes to account names, contacts, and updates to trading status
- Manage and update account hierarchies through parenting adjustments to accurately reflect account structures
- Work across multiple internal systems and maintain a single, clean source of truth within the CRM system
- Ensure all CRM data practices comply with POPIA and other relevant data protection regulations.
- Implement and enforce data entry standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with IT and CRM vendors to support system updates, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Train internal teams on CRM data standards and best practices.
- Provide support for data-related queries and issues.
Skills required:
- Technical & Process-Oriented Skills
- Proficient in data entry and administrative tasks with a strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiarity with CRM systems, notably Microsoft Dynamics, is a plus
- Skilled in handling process-driven tasks with consistency and focus
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
- Microsoft Office proficiency – Excell a requirement
- Organisational & Time Management Skills
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks effectively
- Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and urgency
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
- Must be well spoken and able to communicate at all levels with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications:
- NQF Level 4: Certificate in data handling and/or administration
- At least 3 years of related experience.
- Experience in the agricultural industry: 2 years.
- Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM software is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ‘365.
