The City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality is a metropolitan municipality that forms the local government of the East Rand region of Gauteng, South Africa

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Operations Management or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a managerial environment within local government

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, manage and improve service standard adherence through monitoring, reporting and compliance within the infrastructure cluster
  • Develop tactical delivery plans in advising on and managing service standards in accordance with agreed customer service standards to promote and enhance service delivery
  • Develop implementation plans and objectivities in ensuring the achievement of acceptable level of municipal services are delivered ensuring compilation and maintenance of a complaints database categorising reported service failures not resolved timeously is available for action and reporting
  • Develop and deliver on service level agreements in alignment with the Batho Pele principles to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery
  • Control and manage activities in compliance of related acts, legislation, Council policies and standards to ensure compliance to all relevant acts, legislation, Council policies and related standards
  • Direct and control the key performance indicators, deliverables and outcomes of direct reports to ensure a healthy working relationship and conducive working environment
  • Monitor and enforce effective financial control and financial compliance to ensure the implementation of Departmental plans in accordance with budget and procurement plans to improve service delivery.
