  • Our client, in the Agriculture industry and specialising in cutting-edge equipment and systems for livestock farming, is looking for a driven Junior Sales Representative to join their team in Kempton Park.

Job Purpose:

  • The Junior Sales Representative is responsible for conducting all sales, marketing, customer liaison, and related activities within the allocated territory and customer base. This includes building strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, ensuring excellent customer service, and achieving sales targets.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education (essential):

  • Matric Certificate

Minimum applicable experience (years):

  • 1–3 years in a sales or customer-facing role

Required nature of experience:

  • Sales and customer relationship management
  • Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities
  • Preparing sales quotations and processing orders
  • Administrative tasks related to sales (database management, reporting)
  • Exposure to the plastics, piping, or related industries (advantageous)

Skills and Knowledge (essential):

  • Negotiation and selling skills
  • Strong communication (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Computer literacy: Windows, MS Office, and relevant systems
  • Financial literacy (basic costing and quotations)

Other:

  • Customer-focused and target-driven
  • Own transport and valid driver’s licence
  • Willingness to travel within the Western Cape region
  • Proficiency in English (Afrikaans beneficial)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, WEIGHTS AND OBJECTIVES
Sales & Business Development

  • Conduct regular visits to customers and prospective customers.
  • Promote and market Flow Solution products and services.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities through leads, referrals, and industry activity.
  • Achieve and increase sales order intake.

Customer Relationship Management 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns and queries.
  • Provide professional product and technical support where needed.

Sales Administration & Reporting 

  • Capture orders accurately and ensure proper documentation submission.
  • Manage and update the sales database.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports and forecasts.
  • Maintain adherence to credit and sales policies.

Market & Competitor Analysis 

  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and new product launches.
  • Gather marketplace information to inform strategy.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and participate in trade shows/events.

Product & Technical Knowledge 

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Flow Solutions products.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and market requirements.
  • Share product knowledge with customers effectively.
