- An opportunity has arisen for a Regional SHEQ Manager responsible for implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and RTMS and that they are entrenched into the business processes.
- Develops SHEQ system procedures and template documents.
- Enforces standardisation and implementation on all sites.
- Participates in internal and external audits, logging and tracking audit findings.
- Arranges and prepares documentation for SHEQ management review meetings and conducts awareness training on SHEQ non-conformances and management programmes.
- Logs and controls revision status of all procedures and maintains a document control register and the
- SHEQ electronic database.

Duties & Responsibilities
- To ensure compliance to verification audits at all sites of operation in terms of the company’s audit protocol which is designed to
- complement our customer’s requirements, legal registers and the company’s policies and procedures
- Conduct predefined internal audits on selected sites and identify the course of action of the operation so that its SHEQ related
- resources are used optimally and ensure compliance with the contractual agreements
- Measure the level of SHEQ effectiveness and take action to remedy sub-standard performance or improve existing levels of performance
- Conduct pre and post audit meetings to ensure a clear understanding of the audit requirements and findings
- Ability to co-ordinate teams in multiple industries
- Implement, drive & manage the SHEQ culture at multiple depots.
- Conduct BU risk assessments and compare to corporate risk assessment
- Review site risk assessments and conduct checks on selected individual risks
- Review site legal register
- Verify accident process against company requirement
- Review critical accidents and incidents as per corporate guideline
- Review depot emergency procedures and preparedness
- Liaise with clients on SHEQ and align system with their requirements and protocols
- Ability to conduct risk, safety, health and quality risk assessments
- Ability to conduct environmental impact and aspect assessments
- Align management system to relevant risks as a part of the risk based approach
- Assist with appointments, SHEQ system maintenance, audits and accreditations
- Oversee the inspection machinery and equipment, such as vehicles, lifting equipment, pressure vessels, machine guarding and scaffolding, to ensure they meet appropriate safety regulations.
- Assist or carry out high level Investigations based on accidents and unsafe working conditions, identify root causes, study possible causes and take remedial action
- Analyse the accident trends, identify corrective actions, implement effective action plans and evaluate the effectiveness of the actions
- Conduct training sessions for all management, supervisors, representatives and workers on health and safety practice legislation, induction and safe working procedures
- Monitor all administrative processed i.e. documentation, registers, reports and compensation claims with regard to Occupational
- Injury and Disease Conduct combined multi depot monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Verify customer reports and ensure reporting schedules are compiled with
- Keep a register of all IOD’s within the region and complete necessary WCA documentation
- Measure the level of SHEQ effectiveness and take action to remedy sub-standard performance or improve existing levels of performance
- Analyse the accident trends, identify corrective actions, implement effective action plans and evaluate the effectiveness of the actions
- Ability to travel extensively
