About the role:

• This team drives Capitec’s digital banking capabilities for business clients, focusing on app and online banking solutions within the business bank stack an architecture like the retail bank stack but tailored for business needs. The role centers on back-end development, where engineers build and maintain robust, scalable systems that power digital panels and ensure seamless client experiences. As a Back-End Software Engineer III, you’ll be integral to the full software development lifecycle from design and development to deployment and maintenance enhancing complex systems for performance and reliability. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring developers and collaborating with stakeholders to solve engineering challenges and improve existing products.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Grade 12 National Certificate (Minimum)
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (Preferred)
• 6+ years’ proven experience in back-end software development, project delivery and implementation (in relevant development technologies/language). Experience with back-end frameworks and technologies
